LEAVE IT IN THE GROUND – by Dermot Dorgan
Leave it in the ground, leave it in the ground,
We don’t want Adani’s coal, we say, we say, we say no
Leave it in the ground, leave it in the ground,
It’s THE solution! No Pollution!
Leave it in the ground.
Adani is a mining man and coal is what he seeks.
He wants to dig from our backyard
One, million tonnes a week.
But if that coal gets burnt, we’ll pay a shocking price,
So if you’re listening, mining man,
here’s some good advice:
Leave it in the ground, leave it in the ground,
We don’t want Adani’s coal, we say, we say, we say no
Leave it in the ground, leave it in the ground,
It’s THE solution! No Pollution!
Leave it in the ground.
Now if we burn a lot of coal, we’ll cause a lot of grief.
The heat will melt the polar ice – and, kill, the Barrier Reef.
And those providing funds,
both governments and banks
Have got to hear this loud and clear:
the people say NO THANKS!!
Leave it ….
